About The Position

United Security Inc. is seeking a vigilant, professional, and customer-focused Security Officer to help ensure the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and property. The role requires strong observation skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to handle situations discreetly and effectively. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Requirements

Proven security experience is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience working with integrated security systems.
Computer literacy and advanced skill level with Microsoft Office.
Problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and listening skills, with the ability to multitask projects.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
Physical fitness to stand and walk for long periods and respond rapidly when needed.
Availability for a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma.

Responsibilities

Regularly patrol hotel premises, including the lobby, guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house, to maintain a visible presence and deter security threats.
Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, access control systems, and other security systems.
Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and incidents, including disturbances, theft, medical emergencies, and fire.
Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel are admitted.
Enforce hotel rules and policies professionally and respectfully.
Write clear, detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
Assist guests and employees with safety-related issues or concerns.
Coordinate with local emergency services, including fire, police, and ambulance services, when needed.
Investigate property damage, theft, or other suspicious activity.
Support crowd control during events or high-occupancy periods.
Ensure compliance with safety and health procedures in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
