Weekend Security Officer in Downtown Knoxville
About The Position
Walden Security is hiring a part-time Weekend Security Officer to serve clients in Knoxville. Officers typically work two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with daytime and overnight schedules available. Before starting, employees must complete a two-day State of Tennessee Unarmed Security licensing course during the week. The role involves walking client buildings to inspect doors, floors, and elevators for unusual activity and hazards such as leaks, fire, or suspicious activity. Security Officers protect industrial and commercial properties against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. Client sites include office buildings, luxury residential properties, distilleries, financial institutions, telecommunications and manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and other properties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Complete the State of Tennessee Unarmed Security licensing course before starting; the course takes two days and is held during the week.
