About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Processing in Rochester, New York, at an aerospace and defense location. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment. The stated schedule is Tuesday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust their hours as needed. The pay rate is $18.79 per hour.

The officer provides front desk and security services, including greeting and processing visitors, verifying access authorization, monitoring access points and security systems, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate records while protecting sensitive information.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Greet visitors, verify access authorization, and direct employees, guests, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from a stationary post; report unusual activity or access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document events as required.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation while protecting sensitive information and following confidentiality requirements.
