About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Access in Williamsburg, Virginia. The position provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned commercial real estate site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift is an anchor schedule requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may pick up shifts at multiple sites and can build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back.

The role provides customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. The listed pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The scheduled shift is Tuesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees at a commercial real estate location.
• Carry out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, issue authorized access badges or passes, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify site contacts or emergency responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter.
• Document observations and report unusual conditions.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate professionally with site personnel, and support procedures that help deter unauthorized access.
