About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Authorization in Shreveport, Louisiana. The position provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned utilities-related site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time hours or pick up shifts to build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. Pay is $12.75 per hour, paid weekly. The posted anchor shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and access-control protocols at a utilities-related location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing authorized access badges, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, and access-control events, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
