Security Officer- Parking Lot Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer- Parking Lot Patrol Driver in Long Beach, California, you will safeguard clients at a retail location. This unarmed driving post involves routine vehicle and foot patrols across the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter; maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents; monitoring access points; and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The role requires a valid driver's license and a commitment to customer service, clear communication, and Allied Universal's agile, reliable, caring, and integrity-driven culture. This is a full-time position paying $20.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday and Sunday, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Valid driver's license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete activity reports and incident documentation accurately and promptly according to company and site-specific procedures.
