About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an experienced, unarmed, part-time Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in West Columbia, South Carolina. The officer will serve and safeguard the client, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and communication. The role offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., at $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and access points to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious circumstances.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
