About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Olathe, Kansas. The officer will help safeguard the site and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors through customer service, visible patrols, observation, and timely reporting. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, at $19.00 per hour. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, including buildings, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter locations. The officer follows site-specific security procedures and policies, responds calmly to incidents, documents observations, and notifies appropriate personnel about unusual or unauthorized activity. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and visitor, driver, and contractor activity according to site procedures.
Report unusual or unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
Document observations and notify appropriate contacts.
Help deter unauthorized access, theft, and property damage through visible patrols, observation, and timely reporting of security concerns.
