About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer in Moore, South Carolina, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role involves safeguarding the site while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Officers provide customer service, maintain a visible presence, monitor and patrol assigned areas, and respond professionally to security-related concerns.

The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully complete a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Successfully complete a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; document observations and report events according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with directing guests, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Maintain daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
