About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Hardeeville, South Carolina. The officer will help manage entry and exit activity, verify badges and visitor access, maintain a visible security presence, and provide customer-focused support in a limited-facilities setting. The role involves using computer or tablet systems and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. The position pays $18.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized personnel, contractors, and delivery drivers according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
• Complete required reports, logs, and shift handoffs accurately, and communicate observations and site conditions to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
