About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients in industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The officer provides customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and responds to emergencies and critical situations. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position requires an active Virginia guard license, at least six months of security experience, and availability to work weekdays and weekends on any shift. Starting pay is $20.06 per hour, plus $4.57 in health and welfare benefits. Free training programs are offered.

Requirements

• At least six months of security experience.
• Active guard license in the State of Virginia.
• Availability to work weekdays and weekends on any shift.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only; licensing requirements may apply before employment depending on state or local laws.

Nice To Haves

• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
