About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for an assigned site in Santa Clara, California, at a rate of $24.84 per hour. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and potentially build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The role serves a technology and data infrastructure location. The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency responses. Work environments and conditions may vary by site. The stated anchor schedule is Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control systems, visitor activity, and deliveries, and verify authorization according to site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and provide shift handoff communications.
• Promptly report observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity.
