About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer for a commercial real estate location in Indianapolis, Indiana. The officer will help safeguard tenants, visitors, employees, and property by conducting regular and random patrols, supporting access control, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. The role uses a computer or tablet to document activity and requires professional communication and accurate reporting. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. The pay rate is $19.70 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor property access and verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures.
Report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations and request additional assistance when needed.
Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and provide shift handoffs according to company and site requirements.
