About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Waterloo, Iowa, to serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. This is a driving, unarmed patrol position that involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitoring assigned areas, and providing customer service and communication. The scheduled shifts are Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.25 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements and for driving positions.
Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site policies.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
Report maintenance concerns, unsecured areas, and other security-related issues observed during patrols to appropriate personnel.
