About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed area patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Glen Allen, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors. The role involves professional communication and responding to changing site needs. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.66 per hour.

Requirements

Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program, or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business offices, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
