About The Position

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing security and safety for client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserves order, and may enforce site regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires standing for the majority of the workday.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 0800–1600 (40 hours per week). Starting pay is USD $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A 5–7 year U.S. work history may be required.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to understand English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and obtaining signatures.
• Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
