About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial location in Blacksburg, Virginia. The officer will safeguard clients and employees by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting access control and alarm response. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and collaboration with onsite teams. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $18.19 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas, and identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures according to site policies.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
