About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada. The officer will patrol assigned interior and exterior areas, help deter incidents through a visible presence, monitor access and visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment. The role also involves providing customer service, responding to security concerns and emergencies, communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and documenting activities. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. The stated schedule is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or potential security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Complete detailed activity reports, maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional environment for occupants.
