About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution in Glen Allen, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors. You will communicate professionally and respond calmly to security concerns, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and escalating information when appropriate. The role is scheduled overnight, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Pay is $22.66 per hour.

Requirements

Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program, or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Guard Card or license.
Access Control/Badge experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations, escalating information according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
