About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Columbus, Ohio, to screen visitors, monitor access points, and communicate clearly with guests and staff. The role helps maintain a welcoming and orderly environment through attentive observation, a visible security presence, incident deterrence, and exceptional customer service. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and pays $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Screen visitors and monitor access points.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff.
• Remain alert to potential security-related concerns and help deter incidents through a visible presence.
