About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer and Property Patrol Driver in Elyria, Ohio, you will safeguard a chemical and petrochemical client site. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and report security-related concerns. The role also involves professional interactions with employees and visitors, customer service, and clear communication.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of facility buildings, process areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Observe and report potential hazards, suspicious activity, and chemical-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
