About The Position

As a Security Officer specializing in visitor reception and access control, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location in McLean, Virginia. At a luxury retail front desk, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service. You will use computer- or tablet-based tools to support a professional, secure environment and help deter security-related incidents. This is a part-time position paying $22.40 per hour, with scheduled shifts Monday and Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and associates at a luxury retail front desk while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue access credentials according to established procedures.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from the front desk; report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
Provide directions, answer inquiries, and assist with access control and package or delivery procedures.
