About The Position

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, or telecommunications location. In this part-time patrol unarmed role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and clients. You will communicate professionally and support a welcoming environment while following site-specific security procedures and policies. The position is scheduled Tuesdays from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be 21 or older.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business operations spaces, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity or access concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate contacts.
Prepare accurate activity reports, document incidents and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
