Security Officer - Grocery Store Observation
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Grocery Store Observation in Los Angeles, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and team members, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, care, and integrity. The position is full-time and pays $18.47 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
- Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
- Communicate clearly with visitors and team members, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.
