About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a premier retail location in Beverly Hills, California. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to shoppers, guests, and team members. The role calls for strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork, integrity, and a welcoming luxury retail environment. The scheduled shifts are Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The pay rate is $20.60 per hour. Additional shifts may be viewed and claimed through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access to the retail location and assist with visitor, employee, and delivery entry procedures according to site requirements.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, and promptly report concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or security concerns.
Support a welcoming luxury retail environment through professional communication, an attentive presence, and adherence to appearance and service standards.
