About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Screen in Goodyear, Arizona, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The position involves using computer or tablet systems, communicating professionally, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role is part-time, with scheduled shifts Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at a pay rate of $19.17 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems.
Possession of a guard card or license.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification or authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Assist with controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to shipping, receiving, loading, and distribution areas in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones, and report security-related observations.
