About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Access in Champaign, Illinois, you will safeguard a food and beverage production location by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while maintaining a visible security presence to help deter incidents. The position is full-time and pays $18.10 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points; verify credentials and visitor authorization; issue and collect visitor badges; and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
Control access for contractors, vendors, and delivery drivers according to facility requirements, including directing them to designated check-in areas.
Respond calmly to access-control incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through established security-related reporting channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
