Security Officer Full Time Visitor Access

About The Position

As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in North Charleston, South Carolina, you will help safeguard the site by managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide customer service and clear communication to clients, visitors, and drivers. The listed schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Observe inbound and outbound traffic, help deter unauthorized entry, and report suspicious activity, access-control concerns, and policy violations to site leadership.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established procedures, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking lots, and the business perimeter as assigned by site procedures.
