About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Credentialing in Rochester, NY. The position provides a designated site and recurring weekly anchor shift, with a required six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $18.79 per hour, and the scheduled shift is Wednesday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

The officer provides front-desk customer service at an aerospace and defense location, follows site-specific access procedures, manages visitor credentials and records, directs visitors and deliveries, monitors security and communication systems, and responds to incidents and emergencies.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location, following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials and identification, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and departure records.
• Receive and direct visitors and deliveries and handle incoming communications while maintaining a professional, courteous presence.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and support emergency response activities.
• Monitor assigned access-control and communication systems, document security-related activities, and report unusual conditions to site leadership.
