Security Officer Part Time Visitor Credentialing

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Lake Mary, Florida, to provide front desk security and visitor credentialing services at a financial institution. The officer will welcome visitors, manage access control, monitor entry activity, and deliver professional customer service and communication while helping maintain a secure, welcoming environment. The role is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and pays $17.60 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
A guard card or license.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and security policies.
Manage the front desk and visitor reception area: greet guests, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security systems; report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations, following site procedures and contacting emergency services or site leadership as needed.
Answer phones, direct inquiries, coordinate with building personnel, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
