About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at an Amazon warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. The role involves routine patrols and a visible security presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and providing customer service in a technology-focused environment. You will follow site-specific policies and procedures and prepare activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs. The scheduled hours are 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Wednesday through Sunday. The pay rate is $18.36 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations according to site protocols; contact emergency services when directed.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with company and site requirements.
