About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a media headquarters lobby in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard employees and visitors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control and badge-related activities, and providing professional customer service. The role includes a scheduled shift on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $22.05 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Access control and badge experience, as well as customer service experience, are preferred. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing may be required under state or local rules; a valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the business, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, document incidents, and complete required reports.
Help maintain an orderly environment by enforcing site rules, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and providing directions or assistance as needed.
Assist with access control and badge-related activities.
