About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in Los Angeles, California. The officer will safeguard the property by conducting patrols, monitoring access points and alarm activity, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role also involves supporting tenants and visitors through professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.60 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience.
• Alarm panel experience.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency-response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and property activity, and verify visitor, contractor, and vendor access according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and property representatives.
