About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Durham, North Carolina, you will help safeguard clients, visitors, and employees. The driving role includes conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication. You will work with a team committed to integrity and contribute to a welcoming environment. The position pays $20.84 per hour. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license, as required by Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor credentials according to site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and critical situations, following site protocols.
Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
