About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Louisville, Kentucky, you will help safeguard the client by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access points, and supporting badge procedures. You will provide customer service and communicate clearly while using computer or tablet systems.

The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and pays $19.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office spaces, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials as directed, and document entry activity according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
