About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Gadsden, Alabama, you will help safeguard a food and beverage facility by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor and badge access, and using computer or tablet systems. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through reliable service and teamwork. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $15.66 per hour. Applicants must meet the age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor and control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor or delivery access in accordance with site policies.
Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor logs, badge issuance, key control, and entry or exit activity, and communicate irregularities to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, production-adjacent exterior areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
