About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients, including in education and other industries. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, responding to incidents and critical situations, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position pays $17.50 per hour, and various schedules and shifts are available. Candidates must have prior customer service experience, including effective communication, problem-solving, and a commitment to excellent service.

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience, including effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellent service.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
