About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for unarmed patrols at a logistics and distribution location in Portland, Oregon. This is a non-driving position with a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related procedures, site-specific policies, patrols, access monitoring, and appropriate emergency response. The role includes responding professionally to incidents and alarms, documenting activity, and communicating during shift handoffs.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Commit to the assigned site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate during shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence.
