About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned government location in Harvey, Illinois. The position provides reliable hours through a designated weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. The role also allows officers to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, potentially increasing hours up to 40 per week while retaining the option to scale back. Pay is $23.74 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Satisfactory background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Drug screening, to the extent permitted by law.
• Commitment to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Nice To Haves

• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
