About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for patrol and hazard awareness duties at a healthcare location in Brockton, Massachusetts. The unarmed officer helps safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by providing customer service, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, identifying hazards, and responding to security concerns and emergencies. The role pays $22.85 per hour and is scheduled Monday and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Allied Universal offers access to additional shifts through its Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility interiors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, assist with directions, and support orderly movement throughout the location.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
