About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location in Watervliet, New York. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and responding appropriately to security-related concerns. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.89 per hour. Officers can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.
