About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a luxury retail location in New York, NY. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and contribute to a welcoming customer experience. The role involves professional communication with guests, staff, and leadership, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. The scheduled hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and retail guests by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and taking part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, fitting rooms, stockroom access points, entrances, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft, and other policy violations; report observations to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, patrols, and unusual activity, following established reporting procedures.
