About The Position

As an unarmed Security Guard at a premier luxury retail location in New York, NY, you will safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and shoppers by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support a welcoming environment, provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report concerns with integrity. The role includes site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. This is a part-time position scheduled Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.11–$24.11 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures and conducting emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including the sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
