Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol - Luxury Retail
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a retail location in New York, NY. The officer will safeguard clients and help maintain a welcoming retail environment by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. The role involves communicating with store personnel and visitors, following site-specific policies and procedures, and supporting emergency response activities as appropriate. The scheduled shifts are Monday 3:00 PM–10:30 PM, Friday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Saturday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, and Sunday 3:00 PM–10:30 PM. The pay rate is $24.00–$25.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and store personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; document and report observations according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and activity, assist with orderly customer flow, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Communicate professionally with customers and employees while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
