About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Englewood, Colorado. This is a driving post requiring an active DoD Secret Clearance and a valid driver’s license. The officer will safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and the site by conducting patrols, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and providing professional customer service. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and pays $29.71 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and verify credentials as directed by site policy.
• Maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and professional environment.
