About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, temporary Security Officer for a retail assignment. The officer will help safeguard clients by following safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response procedures. The role serves clients across industries and requires responding to incidents calmly and conducting patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
