Security Officer Part Time Property Patrol Inspection
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard a retail location in Johnstown, Ohio. This is a driving, unarmed patrol position requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy. The officer conducts routine patrols and maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while providing professional customer service and supporting a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; document and report observations according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols through retail sales areas, entrances, stockroom-adjacent areas, and the surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Maintain a professional presence in a retail and mall environment while supporting a welcoming experience for customers and staff.
