About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a lobby position in Springfield, Ohio, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide professional customer service to employees, guests, visitors, and contractors. The role involves following site-specific security procedures, maintaining an orderly and welcoming lobby, and reporting security concerns. The posted rate is $19.00 per hour, with weekly pay. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Applicants must meet the applicable age requirement, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service at the front desk to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests, following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Monitor access, verify visitor authorization, issue temporary credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
Receive and direct visitors, answer incoming calls, and provide professional assistance while monitoring front-desk activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; promptly communicate concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Help maintain a professional, welcoming lobby and deter unauthorized access by consistently applying access-control procedures.
