About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve as a lobby host at an aerospace and defense location in McLean, Virginia. The officer will greet employees and visitors, manage access procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service and communication in support of a professional, secure environment. An active DoD Secret clearance is required. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate is $25.24 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age requirement, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo an employment background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Control access by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and entry requirements.
Receive, document, and direct visitors, deliveries, and communications while maintaining accurate access and visitor records.
Monitor assigned security-related systems, alarms, and communications equipment, and report irregularities or access concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
