About The Position

As an unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada, you will help safeguard the client site and provide a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role includes routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, customer service, clear communication, and reporting security-related concerns. You will carry out site-specific security procedures and policies and support emergency response activities when appropriate. The position is full-time and pays $24.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document access-related concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as required.
Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
